Diageo opts for global roll-out of TopClass
Dateline: 30 October 2002
WBT Systems today announced that Diageo, the World's leading premium drinks business with 25,000 employees in over 180 international markets, has begun a global roll-out of the TopClass e-Learning Suite™.TopClass was chosen by Diageo because of its leading rapid content development tools and Mobile capability for delivery of content to staff while on the move. These features decrease the time to market by allowing training to be created faster and delivered more efficiently, while the Mobile capability ensures that Diageo's mobile workforce can gain crucial product knowledge without being taken out of the field. Also important to Diageo was the strength of the partnership between WBT Systems and Atos KPMG Consulting, the solution partner for the project.
'It was important for us to choose an e-Learning solution that could be implemented in weeks rather than months and quickly provide e-Learning infrastructure for rapid development and delivery of content. With the introduction of new products, time is of the essence. The TopClass e-Learning Suite has proven to be ideal for getting a dispersed and disparate set of employees aligned and educated on a new product.' said Deepti De Soyza, e-Learning Manager at Diageo.
'E-Learning has been a real success for Diageo. Atos KPMG Consulting and WBT Systems have worked jointly together as one team to ease Diageo through the process and deliver the solution on time and within budget' said David Parlby, Partner, Atos KPMG Consulting. He continued 'The key to our successful partnership has been strong communication and a common desire to deliver a high quality solution. I have been extremely pleased with the way we have worked together on this project and look forward to building on this in the future.'
'The Diageo project again demonstrates that the TopClass e-Learning Suite is a world-class product set which empowers organisations to rapidly capture and disseminate knowledge on a Global scale' said Paul Dooley, COO of WBT Systems. 'Linking people to knowledge is what TopClass excels at and I'm glad to say that we have another satisfied customer, training their employees better and faster than ever before.' he concluded.
