Texthelp's McKay wins Net Visionary Award

Martin McKay wins the Net Visionary Award for Innovation.
Antrim based firm Texthelp Systems Limited - one of the world's leading suppliers of innovative solutions of speech technology, announced a major success by being the only Northern Ireland company to be shortlisted and win an award at the prestigious 6th Annual Irish Internet Association - Net Visionary Awards in Dublin.
Winners of the Innovation category, the judges praised the Browsealoud application which effortlessly incorporates speech into websites addressing the needs of the print disabled community. They considered that the potential it gives both public and private sector organisations to deliver a greater return on their existing website content with minimal effort contributes considerably towards improving public life.
Over the last six years the Irish Internet Awards have become the most respected in the industry calendar, honouring individuals for their contribution and professional achievements.
Commenting on the award Martin McKay, a founding Director of Texthelp said,
