What criteria does Delta Partners use?
The first trait we seek are startups that will attack markets poised for rapid growth. We want to be investors in companies that can gain a large market share in large emerging markets.These companies invariably make the best investments.
We cannot afford to wait for markets to develop and we do not have the capital to educate customers to solve problems they don't know they have.
Large markets and high gross margins on every sale allow room for error and also provide enough headroom to build a substantial company.
We avoid investment areas that have attracted strong attention from other venture capitalists. We are not interested in investments that require significant amounts of capital to beat out competitors.
